What Is Udyam Registration?
Udyam Registration is the government-mandated process for MSME classification and recognition. Introduced on July 1, 2020, it replaced the earlier Udyog Aadhaar system with a fully digital, paperless, and self-declaration-based registration process via the Ministry of MSME.

To register, you’ll need:
Aadhaar number of business owner
PAN number of the entity
GST number (if applicable)
Business name, address, and bank account details
Nature of business and NIC code
Investment amount and number of employees
MSME Classification (Effective April 1, 2025)
